The chamber’s Executive Director Jack A. Cowan is travelling to France twice a year to meet with institutional partners and corporations. The "journées-pays" are co-organized with the regional chambers of commerce in France.
These bi-annual business trips called “journées-pays” enable the chamber to reach out to companies interested in doing business in the Pacific Northwest, and eventually assist them in setting up operations in the best conditions. The aim is to increase the visibility of the three states covered by the chamber (Washington, Oregon and Idaho) and to showcase the unique business opportunities they can offer.
These visits are also instrumental in fostering partnerships with regional chambers of commerce in France, which can assist American companies going to France. These long-standing ties ultimately benefit members of the chambers, who can broaden their outreach efforts on both sides of the Atlantic.
