French Localization Specialists Sought

An NLP company in Bellevue is seeking 25 native fluent French speakers to join their company as French Localization Specialists for a 4 month contract focused on a speech recognition project. This project should be extended but is initially only slotted for 4 months. This project will be focused on the localization of software for an IoT speech recognition product similar to Siri or Alexa. You will be working to ensure correct localization from French to English and vice versa.

Must have skills: Native French speaker; MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and additional computer skills; Previous experience working in OR familiarity with databases; Someone who has experience in localization or writing, specifically knowledge of grammar and sentence structure in French; Previous editing experience; Testing mindset; Comfortable learning new technology.
Bonus skills technical skills include: SVN (version control sharing database) and JIRA; SQL query writing experience; XML; Knowledge of localization processes and issues; Previous linguistics experience.

Position qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate has familiarity with French history, culture and customs, visits his/her native country at least once in a year and communicates regularly with friends and family living in the native country.
  • English (speak & read) skills. This person must have been in the US for at least 6 months.  Reason for the 6 months is that they need to be in a position to identify the difference between Miles and Kilometers as an example. Another example would be in the US there are 3 sets of numbers for the telephone (xxx) xxx-xxxx vs. the French template.
  • Knowledge of localization processes and issues.  Our definition of this is;

    • Strong Attention to detail strong desire to accuracy, Understanding of how to translate common terms in French or German.  Individuals do not need to have previous Localization work experience but it’s a huge bonus.  

  • Good knowledge of smartphones (currently uses a phone) and social media platform terminology.
  • SharePoint and Jira experience bonus.
  • Excellent grasp of grammar and spelling and possesses a wide vocabulary.
  • Working knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office (Word, Excel) and ability to learn new software applications.
  • Ability to think logically, creatively and imagine the perspective of a variety of users.
  • Ability to organize, maintain consistency and identify minute differences across large sets of data.
  • Ability to write concisely in an easy to understand manner.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Someone who likes to work in a team
  • Not afraid to ask questions, rather have someone ask a lot of questions vs. think they know how to do it.
  • Self-Motivated
  • Good communications, interpersonal and organizational skills,
  • Ability to think Logically, creatively and from the perspective of a variety of users.

Paris-Madrid Grocery Seeks Retail Clerk

Paris-Madrid Grocery is seeking motivated and helpful retail clerk for gourmet specialty shop in the Pike Place Market neighborhood. This job is perfect for those who love cheese, charcuterie or wines. Job duties include working both weekday and weekend shifts.
Must stock shelves and be able to move boxes weighing 40 pounds per case, and stock upper shelves.
Must be comfortable using a step ladder, and willing to sweep, mop, clean the bathroom and wash windows.
Prefer enthusiastic home cooks, and candidates with knowledge of cheeses, wine, charcuterie, and other specialty food products, but it is not necessary to be over 21.
Must be able to work all shifts during the 2017 holiday season (November through early January).

Shifts are Monday-Saturday, 9:45 a.m.- 6:15 p.m. or Sunday, 10:45 a.m.-5:15 p.m. Workdays may change weekly, and be 3 to 4 days per week, depending on circumstances. The job may turn into full time.

Universal Cells Seeks Scientist – Genome Editing of Human Pluripotent Stem Cells

Universal Cells is seeking a highly talented and motivated research scientist to join their team. The individual will be responsible for targeted gene-editing of pluripotent stem cells, their genotypic and phenotypic characterization by PCR and flow cytometry, and differentiation into hematopoietic cells. Functional assays may also be performed.



  • A Ph.D. in biochemistry, genetic, cell biology, or a related discipline.
  • Cell culture experience.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem solving skills with attention to details.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit. Willing to work on a small team in an exciting environment to deliver the next generation of stem cell therapy products.

Desired qualifications:


  • Experience with culturing human pluripotent stem cells and cell differentiation.

Entry level French speaking Game Testers at Nintendo of America in Redmond Sought!

Position: French Game Tester 
Pay Rate: $11.55 per hour
Location: Redmond, WA 
Length: Project based, open ended contract 
Schedule: 9AM - 5:30PM Monday through Friday, overtime as needed

Aerotek is looking to hire entry level French speaking Game Testers at Nintendo of America in Redmond!

An individual in this position will work with other testers to assess pre- released Nintendo video games to identify all errors within the game for correction prior to the release of the game to the public. Must be a gamer!

This includes: 
- Identifying spelling and grammatical errors 
- Locating errors, flaws, and glitches 
- Documenting those errors in order to be corrected 
- Working with a team of fellow testers as well as supervisors
