Aerospace Committee FAQs

What is the Aerospace Committee?

The Aerospace Committee is a group established by the French-American Chamber of Commerce of the Pacific Northwest (FACC-PNW). It comprises individuals and companies from both France and the Pacific Northwest with stakes and interest in the aerospace industry. This committee’s purpose is to create an active professional network connecting French and American companies that share common interests in the aerospace industry as trade partners.

Who can participate in the Aerospace Committee?

Participation in the Aerospace Committee is restricted to active, Corporate Members of the FACC-PNW. Members of the committee include Washington State-based French companies or subsidiaries and U.S. companies doing or wishing to do business with the French aerospace industry. For more information on the benefits of joining the FACC-PNW, and instructions on how to register, visit our Membership page.

When and where do Aerospace Committee meetings happen?

Aerospace Committee meetings are hosted by local companies from the Aerospace sector. Previous meetings have been hosted by Dassault Systèmes, LeoStella and MTorres.

How do I get involved in the Aerospace Committee?

Email info(@)faccpnw.org for more information on hosting or registering for Aerospace Committee meetings. Include “Aerospace Committee” in the subject line.

Why join the Aerospace Committee?

During meetings, committee members have a chance to hear from aerospace industry leaders and innovators about relevant topics from the sector. Many meetings take place on-site at Aerospace companies or factories and include a tour of the facilities.

Members of the Aerospace Committee have preferential registration for Aerospace-related FACC-PNW events. These events include the annual Seattle-European American Air Forum, a first-of-its-kind all-day air conference, and the annual Pre-Paris Airshow, which includes a visit to a region in France focused on aerospace developments.

The Aerospace Committee uses formal and informal networking means throughout the year to support its goals to:

  •  Facilitate and encourage contact and exchanges between the Members to enable the sharing of experience and best practices;

  •  Inform, advise and assist French aerospace companies in the process of setting up operations in Washington State, as well as U.S. companies wishing to expand or start a business relationship with French companies;

  • Provide analyses, information or insights into the U.S. market and regulatory framework;

  • Facilitate exchanges and access to data on specific topics between Members;

  • Increase the visibility of French companies in the PNW, especially with regards to elected officials;

  • Provide access:

    •  At the local level, to elected officials (Governors’ or mayors’ offices) or aerospace associations (such as the PNAA) ;

    •  At the international level, to French government officials and French organizations related to the industry (GIFAS, CCI, ASTECH, Aerospace Valley)
