The French-American aerospace community of the Pacific Northwest gathered at LeoStella to discover the newly implemented satellite builder company. Speakers were Mike Hettich (CEO of LeoStella), Marc Reyanud (COO of LeoStella), Brian Rider (CTO), and Peter Hisken (VP and Legal and Corporate Secretary of LeoStella) spoke about their activities and future perspectives for the company in Washington State. We later focused with Mr Hisken on the technical aspect of the companies’ activities.

LeoStella is a start-up company manufacturing low-cost small satellites in Low Earth Orbit planes to supplement the BlackSky constellation. It was created in 2018 as a joint venture of Thales Alenia Space (French) and Spaceflight Industries (American) to fill the growing demand of the BlackSky constellation, providing a database of pictures for companies, and making it one of the few private satellite producers of the U.S.
