Jeff Carpenter is the vice president of Supply Chain Aircraft Materials & Structures for Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Appointed to this position in February 2026, Carpenter is responsible for managing contracting, sourcing, and operations for all primary and secondary aircraft structure, raw materials and standards, as well as Boeing’s Aggregation Strategy, which is BCA’s raw material and fastener demand aggregation and distribution effort for all Boeing Commercial Airplane programs. 

Previously, Carpenter served as the senior director of Supply Chain Contracts and Operations for Materials. In this role, he oversaw the contracting and sourcing for raw materials for all Boeing Commercial Airplanes programs. Prior to that, he oversaw the strategic category management for materials and standards across the Boeing enterprise. 

During his career, Carpenter has held senior leadership positions across Boeing’s Supply Chain organizations and been involved in supply chain management for nearly every category of part that flies on commercial airplanes. 

He served as the director of Supplier Management responsible for the Italian supply chain which produces major structural assemblies. He also led raw material and fastener procurement and distribution for all commercial airplane programs and oversaw cost reduction efforts on the 787 program. 

Carpenter joined Boeing as a procurement agent in 1998, following a college internship in BCA in 1997. He received his bachelor’s degree in finance and a certificate in purchasing management from Central Washington University.
